5# Intregue
Below is a video of several matches, including matches performed on the previously mentioned Tilt Table special challenge. Special Challenges will be randomly assigned to rounds of the tournament, and currently include:
Tilt Table: Battlefield tilts and wobbles!
Blind Battle: Drivers will be blindfolded. Instructions from teammates/bystanders are allowed.
Obstructing Object: The center of the field will be blocked by a random object. Competitors may
attempt to push or move around it.
Perspective Power: Contestants will drive their robots while lying on their stomaches, for the lowest possible viewpoint.
Multirobot Malice: Two additional Sumos will be added onto the field. Sumos normally unable to qualify for higher placement in the tournament will be given a second chance with this Special Challenge.

4# Expansion
At the Robotics Convention on Saturday, May 12, 10am to 2pm in Stevenson, WA, will be suppling five NXT bricks with the necessary program pre-installed on them. This is so anyone can MAKE THEIR OWN SUMO at the competition, if they did not bring their own or decide to use one of mine. However, I have two boxes of NXT parts, and I assume they will run out fast. To avoid making a ramshackle robot, I advise making one at home with your own supplies. I can download the necessary program as soon as you arrive!

3# Details
News: Apparently the robot convention is actually here:
Hegewald Center (710 SW Rock Creek Dr., Stevenson, WA).
also, following are the sources for the remote control/bluetooth programs that we will be using. I have already constructed remotes, but you are allowed to construct your own. You are also allowed to pre-download the programs, or even use your own, but make sure that: A. they work, and B. you're using NXT 2.0 software. Otherwise it will not work and I will download this standard program:

2# Explanation
Robosumo Contest Explanation:
During the May 12 Robot competition, I, master of robot-sumo ceremonies, will be hosting a vicious battle between destructive robot wresters!!! To explain more clearly, I'm inviting you and/or a team to compete in a tournament-style Robot Sumo competition. What is Robot Sumo? Read below!
Rules of Robot Sumo:
1. You or your team will construct a robot sumo. This is a LEGO NXT Robot, which includes a central brick updated to the most current software.
2. Before the competition, a program will be downloaded onto your robot by me, or an authorized person. This is a program that will connect your robot to a remote control via bluetooth (I will provide remote controls, but you are allowed to construct your own. Please contact me if you wish to do so.)
3. Two robots are placed in an area, connected to remote controls via bluetooth, and then the match will start.
4. The goal of the match is to push the other robot off the ring, without at the same time falling off yourself. The winner will advance in a bracket-based system, and eventually fight to become THE CHAMPION.
NOTES:
A. Rules judgements will be made by qualified referees. These judgements are final.
B. Occasionally, determined randomly, additional elements will be added to matches. These may or may not (designs are still in the works, but guess which one is a deliberate fake!) include "Tilting Floor", "Blindfolded Drivers", "Throwing Beanbags at the Enemy", and "The field is covered in lit gasoline". (Hint: the fake one involves fire.) The purpose is to make matches more interesting, even though the additional elements may cause one team to win (not deliberately).
C. It is very important to register you or your team before May 12 so that I may create a proper chart of the events. Please see below.
